About us

Manawatu Hindu Society was founded in 2019 in Palmerston North. Key objectives of the Society are:

  • To spread the message of the ‘Hindu Dharma’ (Sanatana Dharma) in New Zealand through the principles of
  • Hinduism as revealed in Hindu scriptures.
  • To perform religious functions and celebrate festivals.
  • To provide a common platform for social functions and events.
  • To build a Hindu temple.

The Hindu community centre will help promote and celebrate multiple aspects of the Hindu culture and religion by providing a communal area for people of all ages to meet, learn, and enjoy.
